Prof Mosa Moshabela

Professor Mosa Moshabela is UCT’s vice-chancellor. Previously Prof Moshabela acted as a Professor of Public Health and Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He leads research management, innovation, and capacity-building initiatives. An esteemed academic and clinician scientist, he chairs the Governing Board of the National Research Foundation and serves as Health Commissioner for KwaZulu-Natal. His research focuses on improving healthcare access and quality. He collaborates with global institutions, including Harvard University and the University of Washington, and has received multiple research grants from international funding bodies.
