Jack Calland

Jack Calland is a Research Associate at J-PAL Africa, working on projects aimed at tackling the problem of (youth) unemployment. Before joining J-PAL, he worked in the finance and digital policy sectors in Johannesburg and London.

Jack has a BCom in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, with First-Class Honours in Economics, from the University Cape Town, and an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics & Political Science, awarded in the First Class and with the Prize for Best Performance.
