This report, which is the result of a collaboration between the Western Cape Government and UCT’s Poverty and Inequality Initiative, explores the well-being of young people residing in five of the most deprived areas in the Western Cape Province.
The report provides a statistical overview of available indicators on youth well-being, as defined collaboratively by the Western Cape Government and the Poverty and Inequality Initiative’s researchers working on the Youth Explorer project. Based on the voices of young people living in some of the more deprived areas of the province, the report introduces an understanding of the subjective aspects of well-being.
