Lauren Graham

Lauren is a South African National Research Foundation rated scholar in the field of youth studies. Her research focuses primarily on young people’s transitions to adulthood. While her earlier work was interested in how young people negotiate risk in this period of transition, her interest has since shifted to understanding the nature of youth transitions to work in a developing country context such as South Africa and how young people can be better supported in this phase of life. She is currently the Director of the Centre for Social Development in Africa.
